The online application process will start on 07 September 2026 and eligible candidates can submit their applications up to 06 October 2026. Candidates must fulfil both the prescribed educational qualification and Scouts & Guides qualification requirements.

Educational Qualification
For Level-2 posts, candidates should have passed 12th standard or equivalent with at least 50% marks. The 50% requirement is not insisted upon for SC, ST, ESM and PwBD candidates and candidates possessing a higher qualification from a UGC-recognized university. Alternatively, candidates can have passed 10th standard along with National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) or ITI approved by NCVT.
For Level-1 posts, candidates should have passed 10th standard or possess ITI or equivalent qualification or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
Scouts & Guides Qualification
The prescribed Scouts & Guides qualification is mandatory for both Level-1 and Level-2 categories. Candidates should possess a President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger Award or Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) in any section.
Candidates should also have been active members of the Scouts Organization for the last 5 years and must have attended two events at National Level or All Indian Railways level and two events at State Level.
Candidates who do not possess the prescribed Scouts & Guides qualification are not eligible to apply.

Selection Process
The selection process includes a written test followed by evaluation of the prescribed Scouts & Guides certificates and subsequent recruitment stages.
Candidates meeting the required qualifying standards will be considered for the next stages. Document verification and medical examination will be conducted as applicable under the recruitment rules.
