Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the recruitment notification for the School Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE 4.0) under Advertisement No. 14/2026. A total of 32,388 School Teacher vacancies are available under the Education Department, Government of Bihar.
The recruitment covers teaching posts for Classes 1 to 5, 6 to 8, 9 to 10 and 11 to 12. The online application process was initially scheduled to start on 1 September 2026 but was postponed. BPSC has subsequently indicated that the revised application process is likely to commence from 21 September 2026.

Educational Qualification
The educational qualification varies according to the teaching level and subject. Depending on the post, candidates may require Intermediate, Graduation or Post Graduation along with the prescribed teacher-training qualification such as D.El.Ed., B.Ed. or B.El.Ed.
Age Limit
The minimum age is generally 18 years for Primary Teacher posts and 21 years for Secondary and Senior Secondary Teacher posts. The maximum age limit for general candidates is generally 37 years, with applicable relaxation for eligible categories as prescribed in the recruitment rules.
The age will be calculated according to the cutoff date prescribed by BPSC in the recruitment notification.
